Tooling at Transition

We have recently decided to allow the use of schmoolz and fig4’s at transition. These indoor tools are great for training for winter over the summer months or just having a bit of fun when your tips are too raw to crimp anymore.

Unfortunately there are some rules for using these tools. So here they are.

Top roping
• Climbers and belayers to wear helmets
• Tools to be attached via leashes to the rope (not your harness)
• Don’t climb on lines adjacent to regular climbers (just in case they pop off and hit someone else)

Bouldering
• Climbers to wear helmets
• Tools not to be used with leashes
• Don’t climb too close to regular climbers

Leading
NO LEADING

If you want to use these tools then please notify a member of staff.

Use of indoor tools will not be permitted during busy times. If you have any questions please feel free to speak to myself, Lorenzo or Johannes.

Early closure Saturday 26th March 2011

Please be aware that Transition Extreme will be closing at 6pm on Saturday 26th March 2011 rather than the usual 8pm.  We are proudly hosting the Cyrenians annual sleep-out fund-raising event.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
