Transition staff members Ashley Dean, Ryan Slater, Piotr Wisthal and Tim Rankin volunteered their rope skills on Saturday 27th April to abseil the steep cliffs and hillside picking up litter from the Pot Heugh Nature Reserve on the banks of the Dee.
Mucking in with Aberdeen city council staff and other volunteers a huge amount of litter was collected filling over 100 black bags of discarded cans, bottles and other rubbish from this beautiful and little know areaOver half of the site which is situated directly below Craiginches Prison and runs up to the rail bridge was cleaned but the job is only half done given the volume of rubbish collected! Any volinteers to carry on the good work?
