Following on from Andy's excellent talk last month, the final
Etchachan Club lecture this winter will start at 8.30pm on Tuesday
(March 6) at Transition Extreme with a talk by Neil
Morrison.
"Island Cragging in Scotland Europe"
Neil
has been a significant pioneer of new rock routes, particularly on the North
East sea cliffs and other Scottish outcrops over a long period of time. He is
also the editor of the current SMC Climbing Guide to the North East Outcrops.
Neil’s
talk will describe rock climbing trips to a number of islands, mainly Scottish,
including Skye, Erraid, Orkney, Pabbay and Lewis. Trips further afield to more
warmer climes (Mallorca and Kalymnos) will also be included.
The talk will start at 8.30pm which will give time for a
session on the wall beforehand. We will be charging £2 admission and this money
will be used to provide free refreshments to encourage people to stay and talk
together afterwards.
